About the Job:
Option One Energy is currently seeking qualified candidates for Energy Advisor positions in our Chicago office, to work with National and Local accounts.  Each Energy Advisor will be responsible for developing a diverse portfolio of commercial customers across North America through effective outbound marketing and professional networking.   As our company continues to grow, we are looking for candidates who possess a competitive spirit coupled with interpersonal skills to support our consultative approach.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent sales experience
  • 2-5 years inside sales experience
  • Critical Thinking:  Identifying and understanding issues, problems and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to address sales challenges and new opportunities; taking courses of action based on sound analysis and judgment that appropriately consider customer and partner business capabilities, available facts, constraints, competitive circumstances and probable consequences.
  • Efficiency & Productivity Management:  Applying personal organizational strategies and processes to prioritize and efficiently manage a high volume of outbound call activity.
  • High Impact Communication:  Clearly and succinctly conveying information and ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations; communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others’ thoughts and actions.
  • Building Influential Relationships:  Working collaboratively with customers, channel managers and account team members to meet business goals and objectives; using appropriate communication methods to influence others and establish partnerships.
  • Negotiation:  Effectively exploring interests and options to reach outcomes that gain the agreement and acceptance of all parties by using legitimate data and objective criteria to support proposals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead structuring of professional service opportunities to meet customer requirements.
  • Demonstrable ability to exceed daily outbound marketing expectations
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on outbound phone calls
  • Proven background of sales success and delivery with a specific focus on consulting, managed services and procurement outsourcing.
  • Demonstrable presentation skills are to be utilized in order to present ROI for customers as an investment decision.
  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple and competing responsibilities in emerging markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and obtain consensus opinion among peers, partners and management by possessing outstanding initiative and a take-charge attitude.
